The Charles is proud to announce it has been recognized by SCBiz as a 2026 Top Project, an honor that reflects the vision, innovation, and collaboration behind this luxury waterfront community. Developed by The Beach Company, a leader in residential and commercial real estate brokerage, development, and property management, The Charles represents a thoughtful approach to design, construction, and community impact along Charleston’s historic peninsula.

The Charles, a 23-unit luxury waterfront rental community located along the Ashley River in the South of Broad neighborhood, was selected for its architectural excellence, innovative construction, and positive contribution to the surrounding community.

Projects were evaluated based on criteria including degree of difficulty, creativity in design, construction innovation, collaboration among project teams, and a commitment to sustainability.
