Spreading Joy Around The Charles Neighborhood

Charleston is getting ready for the holidays! All around the city, homes and businesses are decking the halls with their most festive decorations. Pay an evening visit to The Jasper at 320 Broad Street to take a photo with The Jasper star, a showstopping 20-by-20-foot star located at the ground level plaza between the office and residential buildings along Broad Street. Snap and share your friends and family photos and tag #JasperStar2021 for a chance to win a beautiful gift basket, compliments of The Jasper. Afterwardsmake the short walk to Colonial Lake to take in their renowned Christmas tree. Set in the middle of the lake, the tree is lit in a ceremony held by the Charleston Parks Conservancy on Friday, December 4. Locals know that when the Christmas tree at Colonial Lake is lit, Christmas in Charleston comes to life.

While you’re taking in the holiday sights of the Historic District, you might notice some dazzling displays spreading Joy in new ways this season. Explore Charleston has installed four larger-than-life holiday installations throughout the District and invites you to take your photo with them and post on your favorite social medium with #SpreadTheJoy. It’s a new tradition that is sure to become a Charleston favorite. To find these displays and start spreading the joy, follow this link:
